With the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds having wrapped up another season of spring training at their complex in nearby Goodyear, many visitors have had the opportunity to see Pebble Creek for themselves. That means that if you want to find your ideal home, now is the time to buy before someone else beats you to it.

To make an informed decision on your home, you’ll need two things: a knowledgeable Pebble Creek real estate agent, and an idea of what kind of home you want. Here’s a checklist to help you determine the type of home you want, so you’re ready to start looking for homes.

Focus on Features

When you’re ready to look at houses, you should have a clear picture in mind of what the ideal house might look like and what features it should have. For instance, do your children or other family members live close enough that they’ll likely come visit regularly? If so, a home with extra bedrooms would be perfect for hosting them whenever they choose to drop by.

Or perhaps you’ve got the freedom to play golf every day and would love a short walk to the first tee. A lot on the golf course is a great benefit to have. Or, you can opt for a fenced-in yard to allow your dogs to have full reign in the back. The possibilities are only limited by your desires and your budget. Just make sure that your real estate agent knows what you value and it can be done.

Prioritize Your Desires

Unless you’ve got the budget and wherewithal to build a home from the ground up, you’re probably not going to find a home that meets 100 percent of your wish list. But you can usually find a home that meets 90 to 95 percent of what you’re looking for, and if you’re willing to let the last bit go, it’ll be a home that serves you very well.

The best way to do this is to figure out which things you’re willing to compromise on and which things are an absolute must-have. Once you realize which things you’re willing to live with and which things would make a house less than enjoyable, you’ll have a much easier time finding the house you really want.

Look at What You Can’t Change

So what you need to focus on is what you won’t be able to change no matter what you do. For instance, if you want to be close to a golf course, but your ideal home isn’t, it might not be so ideal. If you’re part of an HOA, you might have rules you have to follow, and it’s important that you’re agreeable to them. If you have a problem with those rules, chances are that you’ll be happier in another place that might take a little more work, but will eventually become something that you’ll truly love.

Buying a house anywhere is a process and, as with any process, it’s important to prepare yourself as early as possible to give yourself the most information. By knowing what you want, you’ll make it easier for your Pebble Creek real estate agent to find the perfect home for you, allowing you to snap it up before someone else does!
